Working With Eric M. Schwanke

“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever… It remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”

Organic Wedding PhotographyThis is a new term, one that I feel fits my wedding photography style perfectly. For me, the word “organic” describes something natural, real, and unaltered and this perfectly expresses my approach to photography. I create with a documentary approach and a fine art style.

I am a natural light photographer with a love for the outdoors and for capturing amazing scenery in my photography. With my focus being on photographing with natural light on your wedding day, I am able to achieve a real, elegant and timeless look.

Another way I achieve this fine art sophistication is through the use of film and I photograph the majority of my sessions with film cameras. Film is a luxury and requires many components with every element being hand picked to create the perfect image. I select the film itself, the lenses, the development process, and the machine used to scan the negatives. Each component creates a unique feel, color and mood to my images, a creation process that is very personal.

Each photo shoot and client experience is created with the same personal care and each wedding is captured just as it happens, as naturally and un-altered as you hope for your wedding day to be. All the love and the beauty, just as it happens.

The Process

I want to get to know my couples. Let’s sit down, grab a beer and talk about your life. I fully believe to be invested in my clients weddings and to capture their day to the best of my abilities I need to know and understand my couples. I want to be friends.

Sound good?
