Lindsay and Antonio Green Bay Wedding on Private Estate on the Bay
I photographed a wedding a few years back about a 1/4 mile down the beach from where Lindsay’s parents live. Lindsay loved the wedding so much she was planning something similar in her own parents bayfront property. The wedding down the road was featured in an issue of Wisconsin Bride (you can view the wedding here.) I originally met Lindsay and Antonio for their engagement session in Chicago last fall where they currently live. Antonio grew up in Mexico so a lot of their family traveled in for the wedding, stayed in town for a week and got to experience Wisconsin and especially Green Bay. After the wedding, Lindsay and Antonio traveled to Mexico to have another ceremony/reception with all of their family/friends that could not come to Wisconsin. That is what weddings is all about, family and celebration, so making sure that everyone could attend some part of their wedding is so cool!
The wedding day was a beautiful July day. Couldn’t ask for better weather. They rented a clear tent just in case the weather didn’t go their way but there was nothing to worry about as the day came. How incredible is this location? Such a fun laid back Wisconsin wedding right on the bay. I love these low key weddings because the couple can focus on their wedding day instead of all the craziness that goes with renting venues and traveling from place to place sometimes. For Lindsay it is such a comfortable situation with a familiar location like her parents house. The neighbors were all so nice, we ended up taking pictures and walking through several yards and beach front for family photos and the couples portrait session. Such a laid back area and you can’t ask for more when you are having a wedding in a backyard.
The night ended with a beautiful sunset and a S’Mores bar (same that was set up at the neighbors wedding) and a fire on the beach while a live band played. Perfect evening in July. Congrats Lindsay and Antonio!!
